Bella Bean Couture

So with my sister-in-law Karlye's wedding fast approaching (less than 3 months!) I have flower girl dresses on the brain. Ellie is the only flower girl in this wedding, so her dress needs to be a show stopper, of course. So the first dress I ordered for her was a flop. It is now in the dress up box. The second dress has not arrived yet, but I know it will be fabulous. But just in case.... I ordered one more, he he he. I can't help myself.

So I found this boutique on etsy. Faith (designer & owner) is a mom who has been sewing up these dresses since she launched her shop last June (and probably a little longer). She has a seamstress and a tutu designer that help her with these beautiful dresses. Let me show you the one that is on order for Miss Ellie:

And check out that fascinator!!! We'll have our own little royal wedding Camus style :-) Here is what Faith has to say about this dress:
Tutu made from A LOT of the best quality soft tulle from the USA. Strewn through out with glitter tulle. (can be done without glitter also) 1 inch elastic waistband will stretch with your child as they grow. Tutu length is 23 inches (can be customized shorter or longer for an extra fee). Tutu can be sewn if preferred.

Detachable train adds about 20-24 inches of length to the dress (depending on the size). Can be customized for your taste. Contact me for more info. Attaches with tulle ties. Beautiful going down the aisle or for portraits!

Top is done in an purple satin with a crisscross tie back. Detailed shoulder straps available in silver only.Straps can be made from plain satin also to match colors. Can be done as a halter neck style also. Tie and straps can be done in different colors also. GET CREATIVE! :)
There are tons of different tulle colors to choose from- so you can find the perfect match. You can also have additional embellishments added...flowers, sequins, rhinestones, ribbon if you'd like. She is great at customizing her designs to match your idea of the perfect dress.

Here are some more photos, because lets be honest, that's what you guys really want to see.

There are so many colors and options! Her sizing is NB up to 6T. But always check with her if you need something different, things can be customized. So I hope that if you have an event that you need a dress for, take a look at Bella Bean Couture. Enjoy!!

Pretty Little Lion

I am so glad that I can call the creator of this shop ‘friend’! I was fortunate enough to meet Jill over 8 years ago (yes Jill, really), it was just a business-customer relationship, but I felt like I was always seeing a friend when I went to the shop. Over the years we have both worked in several different occupations, and somehow are always bumping into each other. Lucky! Well now Miss Jill has discovered her passion for making ‘pretties’. And I am so glad she did.

Here is what Jill has to say about herself and her pretty shop:
What to say?!? I am a straving Etsy Artist who decided to dive into the world of handmadeology after finding little success after graduating college.

I have a thing for hair; I always want my hair to look fun and fresh. After routinely spending a small fortune on hair accessories I developed a line of sparkling hair blooms, clips, and headbands for myself. Then friends wanted them...and Pretty Little Lion Designs was born.

I love to use high quality (soft, not easily tearable, non-wax) hair flowers. Frosting them with sparkling Preciosa crystals adds a touch of lioness to girls and women around the world.

I hope each of my pieces help you sparkle and allow your mane to roar!
So what does this crafty lioness create? Take a look:

The Julia Scalloped Blossom Hair Clip adds the perfect touch of feminine zest to running around town.

•Hand adorned with 10+ authentic Preciosa & Swarovski crystals.

The Amy Ribbon Hair Flower Clip is a handmade rose that sparkles in every light!! No need to stow away in a Beast’s castle to see one, and the petals do not fall off!!
•Embellished Grosgrain Ribbon Rose Clip with 20+ Preciosa & Swarovski Crystals.
•Measures close to 3.5” and is secured to single prong alligator clip.
•Coordinating velvet backing make sure clip stays secure.

The Sammi Hibiscus Flower Clip channels the Hawaiian islands. Can you hear the waves and smell the flowers now??

•Hibiscus flower clip measures 2.50” all around with a soft velvet feel.
•Hand adorned with 10+ authentic Preciosa & Swarovski crystals.
•Securely attached to a single prong alligator clip with coordinating velvet backing.

The Jessica Ribbon Wrapped Headband is simple and chic, but still has the sparkle!

•Hand wrapped grosgrain ribbon headband.
•Secured bow with tails, that has been encrusted with Swarovski & Preciosa crystals.
•Coordinating ribbon lines the inner side.

As you can see there is something for EVERY girl. I have some and Ellie too- we share J  These are a must have accessory for a night on the town or just the grocery store! And there is a color to coordinate with every outfit. I hope you will love Jill’s pretties as much as Ellie and I do. Want to know how to get one? Here is where you can shop:

Isadora

Every time I get on and look in the Isadora shop I feel like I'm shopping for a party. Each garment she makes is so special and unique! And they are all so brightly colored. Living in the Pacific Northwest we need to wear color to counteract all the grey weather :-) So here is what Rachelle, the designer, has to say about herself:

I've been sewing for about 25 years....since I was 5...do the math :) My favorite part of it all is creating. I'm an artist....painting, drawing, sculpting, decorating, designing, sewing, are all in a days work. From the time I was a little girl....there wasn't a garment in my closet that didn't have a speck of paint on it, as I'm sure you can imagine I wasn't my mother's dream daughter, lol. My love of designing started as a teenager. I come from an extremely artistic family, my grandmother is a painter, a cousin who is an architect, my sister is in advertising design and I've delved into just nearly a touch of everything. My real concept of designing began to flourish though, in college, where I made several trips here and there around the globe. I've traveled most of Europe, a few areas of Russia and the Middle East. These trips didn't just give me my sense of style, I also met my tall, dark, handsome Romeo on one excursion! I enjoy chatting with people, making friends and drawing inspiration from my two wonderful, very imaginative children :)

Okay now for the part where I show you all the fabulous things she has in her shop! When I first visited I did not leave empty handed. The first items I had to have for Miss Ellie were:

And here is what Miss Ellie looked like in her new Isadora outfit:

The leggings are Isadora too- yes she is a very talented lady!

I love how comfy this outfit is for Ellie, and it washed up great! Also... she felll that day at a friends house, skinned her knee in these beautiful white tights.....and there was no damage! I don't know if it was luck, or just that its good fabric, but I don't care. They didn't get ruined! So wanna see more... OK

I wasn't kidding about all the color. Plus I love how she photographs the pieces. I can just envision Ellie doing the same poses. So Miss Rachelle is more than dresses, she too creates the hair accessories and adorable (durable) leggings!

I know you will have a really hard time deciding which pieces to get first. But I promise you will not be disappointed. The items look just as great in person as they do in the photos. I hope you become a fan and a customer of Isadora like I have. Enjoy!

You can view the Isadora shop on Etsy and via Facebook!

1 Crown 3 Tiaras

This shop was one of the first stores I viewed when I discovered etsy. I love this shop for a 100 reasons. A few are 1) She is a local Washingtonian 2) Shes a fun, fabulous mom 3) and she whips up amazing dresses and outfits!

Lori is from good 'ol Spokane, which is across the moutains from me. She sees way more sunshine than I do, which is why I love her tank dresses because I long for Ellie to wear them this summer. Lori's bio is such:

1crown3tiaras is founded on my passion for sewing, designing & creating and of course my darling cherubs... my oldest son... 1 crown & following him 3 tiaras!! They are my inspiration & my life!!!

I have a passion for handmade AND quality. My goal if for all my customers & their Mama's to smile when they open their package from 1crown3tiaras Boutique!!

So let me show you what this shop has to offer. Now these pieces are truly my favorite, and I say that because I bought all 4 (ssshhhh we're not telling Kyle)

I seriously want every item she has, but I showed restraint and only got 4- for now :-) Lori creates some fabulous dresses, but she has a few other things she can do too- check them out:

I really feel I don't have to write too much about 1 Crown 3 Tiara's becasue the designs speak for themselves. These pieces are great for everything from taking a special picture, birthday party, play date or just running around. I love this shop, and I hope you will too.

You can view the shop on etsy and catch specials via facebook. Enjoy!!

And remember to spread the word on these shops and Moda Bambino!

Hoots & Tutus!

If you know me you know that Ellie has a large selection of tutus. A girl can never have too many. And this year I have really loved seeing all the colorful owls that are be put on everything to cards, dishware and clothes, of course. So through my Internet "looking" I stumbled upon Bella Claire Baby. Of course the first item to catch my eye was the bloomers

I'm not sure why it's so cute for things to be on baby's butts, but I love it. And when seeing these bloomers I noticed the big tutu - sold! So these two ladies realized their shops blended well together and have been "helpin a sista" out ever since. Here's their quick bio:

The relationship between Bella Claire and Hannahs began in July 2008. Since we both have businesses on etsy.com we decided that pairing our unique items together would be an asset to our customers. Our philosophy on quality is the same. Regardless of cost, using the highest quality supplies and products has been a priority for both of our businesses.

I think it's so great these two ladies have merged their creative fabulousness and are helping each others business grow.

So now let me show you the owls! The owls are items of Bella Claire baby, there are 40 of them and they each are gorgeous, unique and full of personality. Here are a few of my fav:
Meet Weezer. Weezer dreams of nothing more than to live in a tropical location. She's a colorful hoot, and she doesn't look like the other northern owls. She often daydreams about the sun and the beach, and one day, she's going to make the flight! Even after suffering some serious beak injuries, Weezer still continues her risky habit of chasing cars as they invade her territory. Humans marvel at her seemingly synchronized swimming routine preformed in her bird bath. Unlike her other hoot friends, she likes to sleep at night and enjoy the sunlight throughout the day! Weezer is a hoot.

Meet Sally. Sally is a hoot with an attitude. Her sharp tongue will tell you what she thinks...any day of the week! She's known as a tom-hoot with the preference of wearing play clothes and messing in the mud, but her mama insists on dressing her up in tutus and frills. Against her will, Sally ALWAYS has a coordinating hairbow in her feathers. She's told that it's important to accessorize. She complies. After all, she IS a beautiful hoot. Sally is a hoot.

Meet Daisy. Daisy is an avid gardener, who spends every minute of daylight tending to her daisy patch. Her spectacular color coat causes all of the other hoots to stare and glare at her beauty, but she's too busy cultivating her daisies to even notice! She begins each morning by fleeing from her nest to find the perfect daisy for her day's attire. After much consideration, she snips her favorite and places it neatly in her feathers. THIS is the sign that she is ready to begin her day! Daisy is a hoot.

BCB is not limited to just onesies and bloomers. here is a sample of some of her other items:

Hannah's tutus

As the name suggests this shops specialty is tutus. And let me tell there is every color imaginable.

I would have loved Ellie to have worn a bday owl and tutu as a baby, but she is a big kindergartner now. So baby Maebel got one :-) I could try Peyton, but I'm not sure how long Kyle would let it stay on.

There are SOOOOOO many adorable items in both of these shops I seriously need to do 5 more posts on them to truly showcase their talent. So remember these too shops when thinking of gift ideas, Birthday outfits, or simply no reason at all. These ladies are great and you won't be disappointed with your order.

Girlie Bird Boutique

Fun, whimsical & unique gifts for ALL ages!

The Girlie Bird Boutique caught my eye while I was gift shopping for a friends baby. I loved the totes. Immediately I thought of all the different usues a mom and kid could use them for: bday gift for a friend, overnight bag, school bag, extra diaper bag, market bag, etc. The possiblities are endless. The owner of this darling boutique is Jackie Smelser. Jackie has always been a sewer, since she was 7! but her passion really began after her first child and she eventually launched her online store on etsy in 2008.

The main product in this boutique is tote bags, but Jackie designs other things as well. There are pillows, some clothing, towels and bibs!

Of course I can't show all her fabulous totes, but here are a few of my favorites:

You now see why I purchased one of these- too cute. Baby Maebel got the last tote shown here :-) Okay, so her pillows are so cute. Sure to add lots of color to a baby's room, in the chair or crib (for decor of course).

Perfect for those car rides too when they would like a little pillow. And the perfect addition for a gift would be one of the chenile bibs Jackie creates, good for twins too!

All of Jackie's products can be customized. There are different handel colors for the totes, just email her with any questions. You can view all the items Jackie has to sell at the Girlie Bird Boutique etsy store, or the website. Enjoy!
