Sure there are ruffles and sparkles and lacey details...but there is something to be said of retro. I stumbled upon this unique shop in my etsy surfing...and I'm so glad I did. Faith is bringing back some classics. Its the simple colors, fabrics and designs that make her pieces so adorable. Here is a blurp about Faith and her shop:

I love the 1960's and 1970's style clothing and have fun finding great styles to recreate in adorable retro style dresses with a bit of modern flair. My dresses are finished with a serger for a professional finish and durability. I love custom orders, so don't hesitate to leave me a comment or make a request. I am a one women shop, working hard to get orders out quickly and good quality work...

With Ellie starting kindergarten, I love looking at all the adorable things to get for her "school" wardrobe. And since she is in this "I only want to wear a dress" phase...Faith's shop is a good place to have on my list. I love this 1960's style dress...The collar is so unique and I just had to create a dress for it....This cutie is made with 100% cotton fabric with different shaped flowers on a cream background..Back zipper , gathered short sleeves with elastic....V shaped collar made with cream twill fabric...

Miss Ruby Sue

Since I started this blog a few months ago I have been noticing Miss Ruby Sue's creations in a lot of the shops photos. They always give the outfits and pictures that extra "pop" of glam and color. So I decided it was time to give this shop its very own feature.

Miss Ruby Sue is created and designed by Lori who quotes herself as: "a 37 year old girl who likes the simple things in life like kids, family and my glue gun."

Lori's designs this fabulous accessories for the bambinos, mommies and even the little pups in the family! And she has special wedding pieces to help complete that beautiful wedding gown. Ellie doesn't have any pieces yet from this shop, but I'm sure it won't be long til she does....it just getting her to keep it on!

Dream Spun Kids- Fanciful fashions and fabrics

Oh how I love me some tutus, ruffles, rompers and pettiskirts! Let's just say Ellie has a nice collection :-) So of course when I ran across this shop I had to take a peek....and I'm so glad I did. The background on DreamSpun is:

Dreamspun started in 2005 when I began looking high and low for items to satisfy my daughter's frou frou tastes.  If it was not absolutely magical, it was not for her!  Before I knew it, everyone one was asking me where I got her things and if I could help them get some just like it.  The wheels started turning in my head and Dreamspun was launched. 

 

Today Dreamspun features a full line of chiffon fabrics, handmade trims, and personally drafted patterns to help you satisfy all your frou frou needs.  If an item does not pass the 'princess test' it does not make it into the shop.    

 

I love how this shop has patterns for you to make your very own skirt just for your little princess. Now if I could sew that would be very helpful, but I can't. So I just buy the already made ones :-) Wanna take a look at these fabulous fashions.....here you go:
